About Destination Utila
Destination Utila is a small island business that was founded in 2005 by Andi Ryon and purchased in April 2008 by Jim and Vicki Frazier. For twenty years, while living and working in Atlanta, Jim and Vicki traveled the Caribbean with a dream of one day moving to that perfect island and starting a small business. When they discovered Utila and came across Andi's business, they knew they had found the perfect combination.
Jim's business background includes 15 years as a CFO for mid-size companies. Vicki spent 10 years as VP Finance and COO for a large division of a Fortune 500 company. Both have experience with an international consulting company and both have experience in property management and real estate development. At Destination Utila we are selective in the properties we work with and make sure both property owners and renters always have direct personal contact and service.
What We Offer:
For Renters: 1. Assistance throughout your reservation process to help you select a unit that best matches your needs.
2. Assistance with details regarding travel and trip planning and answering related questions.
3. Coordination of all the "behind the scenes work" with the properties and owners to help ensure that the units are ready for your arrival and all goes smoothly during your stay.
4. Meet and greet service at the ferry dock or airport.
5. Full orientation of the unit upon your arrival and on-call island assistance should any needs or issues come up during your stay.
6. Acting as an unbiased intermediary with the property owners should any larger issues arise for the units we manage (we manage some units, and work on referral reservations for others).
7. Source of information for trips, outings, nightlife, etc.
For Property Owners:
1. A professional, hard-working, island-based team.
2. Management skills to alleviate much of your worries and hassels in ownership of vacation rental properties.

About Utila
The Caribbean island of Utila is one of three islands which make up the Bay Islands. The other two islands are Roatan and Guanaja. Utila is approximately 18 miles off the coast of Honduras, and is about seven miles long and three miles wide. Utila is less developed than its larger and better known neighbor Roatan, and has a unique culture which is friendly and welcoming. The true Utilians speak a version of English as their primary language, and Spanish, as the islands are now part of Honduras.
Utila has been likened to a "Key West of 20 years ago" (Thurston Clark). It is definitely the place to vacation for those who are tired of the noise of jet skis, motor boats, beach vendors and the intense activity levels of many resort communities. It is not uncommon for visitors to extend their intended stay, when time and finances permit. In fact, one of the common jokes among the transient diver crowd is "I'm taking the ferry tomorrow". Recently one young lady boarded the ferry leaving Utila, only to jump off, dancing back down the dock singing "I'm not leaving, I love Utila!" She stayed six more months and cried when she finally did leave. Utila is an ideal place to come if you enjoy kicking back, diving, snorkeling, beach combing, fishing or just reading a good book. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, relaxing place to hang your hat for awhile, Utila is the place to do it.
