OPPLive 2008, ExCel, London
The world of international real estate comes together.. ... FROM WHERE? Russia and the Russian satellites, the Middle East and Dubai, Europe, the UK, Scandinavia and Asia.
WHO ARE THEY? International Real Estate Agents and Developers, Financial Advisers, Banks and Brokers, Property Lawyers, PR & Marketing Specialists, Media Owners, Fund Managers & large portfolio Investors
OPPLive is the annual business-to-business conference and exhibition attended by property professionals from all over the world. The industry's most influential people come to learn about new business practices and market trends, debate key issues and, crucially, develop partnerships and alliances.
25th and 26th November 10am - 6pm ExCeL One Western Gateway Royal Victoria Dock London
Over the years, OPPLive has become a premier event in the industry calendar to network, find new partners and learn about new opportunities. With over 2,200 professionals attending the event last year, showing a year on year increase of 13%, OPPLive 07 continues to grow. The quality of visitors was also exceptional, with over 58% comprising directors, managing directors or company owners.
OPPlive PRESS RELEASE 20TH OCTOBER 2008 As of 9am this morning, pre-registration levels for OPPLive were up 520% year-on-year. While OPPLive CEO Xavier Wiggins played down the current increase as unsustainable, he expects the challenging market, the doubling of the conference programme, the increase in international visitors, the range of networking events and, most importantly, the industry’s need for the show to all lead to the best OPPLive yet. “So far visitor registrations are coming from a wide range of countries, including many from Russia. I would be shocked if the increase was as dramatic come the show on 25th and 26th November but it is certainly a good start and gives us the feeling that we are going to have a very good turn-out as the show is arguably far more important during these difficult trading conditions than in previous years”. While stand sales are also up on last year, Wiggins urges companies to seriously consider exhibiting if they have not already confirmed. He says: “This is no Cityscape. We don’t expect, or want, companies to take double-decker stands with fifty staff and a £50,000 catering bill. What we do want is companies targeting agents -including developers, banks, media owners, marketing specialists, lawyers and more – to bring their best managers and directors to the show and works really hard for two days - without throwing money at ego marketing. If you are a developer but only have a Managing Director and a Sales Director responsible for building an agent network, you will only need 6 to 8 metres”. Alastair Brown, Group MD of The Richmond Green Group, owners of OPPLive adds: “We are not daft. We will not say that any exhibitor is guaranteed success at the show. However, if you have a development, product or service that can genuinely help agents, then you should be there”.
OPPLive happens only once a year, so make the most of it. Bring colleagues to ensure your company gains the greatest benefit - one of our regular comments we hear is that with all the exhibitions, networking and conferences there is too much to do, so bringing your colleagues is highly recommended.

SEMINAR TITLE : Profitable Possibilities and Partners in the Caribbean 26th November, Theatre 3 11:00>12.00
CONTENT : Activity among international developers and globally recognised luxury hotel chains has increased considerably in the Caribbean in recent years. Part of a major tourism drive to attract visitors from all over the world, this is creating new opportunities for both local agents and international partners in an exciting combination of real estate and offshore asset protection possibilities, including economic citizenship. This seminar gives a regional overview and then focusses on the islands and Latin American nations offering the best combination of investment and lifestyle for international buyers. It covers some of the better investment and retirement programmes nationally created to ensure the expat buying process is as smooth and profitable as possible; while also raising awareness of the environmental and cultural responsibilities of developers especially in the small island States. Based on extensive local insight and a wide network of local industry contacts, this session will also offer advice on how international agents should work with local partners to increase sales opportunities. ~~~|~~~
