Mexico’s economy is driven by tourism, industrial production, oil and gas productions, textiles and clothing, and agriculture.

Mexico is one of the world’s largest oil producers. Oil and gas provide a third of the government’s revenue. Mexico exports oil to the United States, which returns manufactured goods and foodstuffs.

Agriculture remains an important employer. Mexico produces and exports a wide selection of agriculture goods.

Every city in Mexico has at least one excellent hospital, and the cost of health care in Mexico is generally one-half or less what you will pay elsewhere. Prescription drugs manufactured in Mexico cost, on average, about 50% less than the same drugs in Europe or the US.

Visits to the dentist are so much more pleasant in Mexico, since quality dental work costs a fraction what it does in the U.S. or Canada. The pain in the wallet is certainly les!. Many dentists and other medical doctors in Mexico have trained in the U.S. and speak excellent English.
