"Tourism is the second-largest generator of revenue for Mexico after oil, and the government realized that it is the perfect industry and should be supported and promoted because the country can offer so much. With warm and sandy beaches, great food, archaeology, colonial towns, modern cities, and people who enjoy taking care of visitors, Mexico is a perfect place for tourists and hospitality.
Its proximity to the U.S. also allows Mexico to access the largest market in the world with regard to tourism. The real estate opportunities in the U.S. and Spain (the two largest investors in this sector) have become so scarce and so expensive that Mexico became a natural recipient for all the cash that couldn’t find a profitable destiny in these countries. | | |
Just about every kind of fruit and vegetable is grown on giant modern irrigated farms and small family plots. Mexico is the closest southern neighbor to the U.S. and a NAFTA partner, which includes all the high-speed communications and quality health care that one could hope for. Mexico is served by a large number of international airports with regularly scheduled flights from all over the world and especially the US and Europe.
The present government seems committed to allocating funds for new and expanded roads, ports, and telecommunication infrastructure. Along with increased privatization including concessions in the national airport network and the telecommunications sector, the commercial sector is expanding. Healthcare in Mexico is very good…and in many places it is excellent. Most doctors and dentists in Mexico received at least part of their training in the U.S. (And many U.S. doctors have trained in Mexico, notably in Guadalajara.) Many continue to go to the U.S. or Europe for ongoing training.
| | | | | Every city in Mexico has at least one excellent hospital, and the cost of health care in Mexico is generally one-half or less what you will pay elsewhere. Prescription drugs manufactured in Mexico cost, on average, about 50% less than the same drugs in Europe or the US.
Visits to the dentist are so much more pleasant in Mexico, since quality dental work costs a fraction what it does in the U.S. or Canada. The pain in the wallet is certainly les!. Many dentists and other medical doctors in Mexico have trained in the U.S. and speak excellent English. | | | CONTINUE READING: Acanto Hotel Condos>>>
