Therefore we have put together a number of recommended products and services which we know will work for residents of Water Cay and help achieve net zero sustainability.

AIR CONDITIONING

In the summer time the days can be hot and air conditioning becomes necessary at times. So we are recommending a revolutionary AC system which we have tried and tested.

The system uses up to 75% less energy than comparable high efficiency conventional equipment for a 20 EER Rating.

Water Cay BahamasThe Sustainable DC Millennia HVAC features are unique in the world with an on board charge controller that can be wired to accept renewable direct DC power or US grid power and EU grid power. With a 2 to 12 hour backup battery bank capability.

The Millennia requires very little renewable energy to run completely independent all day and night. This makes the Millennia one of a kind for zero emission climate control.

The 1.5 Ton Millennia is completely scaleable, units can be combined or zoned for 2-10 ton applications. 1/2, 1 ,3, and 5 ton package and spilt system will be available for the Q1 of 2008

Each Millennia Package System has its own variable speed, DC blower that overcomes 1.5 inches of static pressure in ducted applications.

HARNESSING THE ATLANTIC ENERGY

Another system we recommend is a wind turbine design which incorporates several proprietary aerodynamic advances. The unique design has numerous distinct advantages over all other designs on the market today, two of which being that it is self-starting and self-regulating. This dramatically increases efficiency, lowers production costs, and eliminates maintenance.

The Delta I is virtually silent while in operation. The foils of the turbine create negligible wind turbulence; thus, the absence of noise. This is imperative for urban use, and is also a great benefit for rural use. The turbine is extremely stable, virtually vibration free, maintenance free, and is safe to operate in wind speeds of over 100 miles per hour.

PRE-CONSTRUCTED HOMES

In order to have as little impact on Water Cay and leave as little build footprint behind as possible we have recommend HRB.

HRB have the following specification for their basic modules:

  • The first element is a corrosive resistant 20 gauge steel armature equivalent to typical framing using studs on 12” centers. These armatures have an 8 millimeter fiber cement board on both sides and have been designed for use in a ten story apartment building without the need for additional support columns.ð¯
  • The second element is an Expanded-Polystyrene (EPS) insert placed between all vertical steel supports of the armature. This element is multi-purpose. It provides racking load support and shock absorption during high loads from winds and earthquakes. It provides a high level of insulation and also serves as a sound insulator. It fills all cavities to eliminate a chimney effect between framing members. The filled cavities also stop rodents from living in the spaces normally found between framing members, or in the open cells of concrete blocks. It contains small amounts of boric acid to repel insects, and it provides support for the wall facings against damage from flying objects.
  • H.R.B.™ wall panels are finished on the outside with a textured cement-like finish applied at the job site. Interior walls are painted with white latex paint. Color upgrades available at customer’s request.
  • H.R.B.™ wall panels are pre-wired for receptacles, switches, and lights.
  • Roof panel system with insulation value equivalent to R-30 fiberglass.
  • H.R.B.™ roof panels are high strength, steel faced, structural, insulated panels capable of spanning 20 feet without the need for added truss frames or rafters.
  • H.R.B.™ roof panels are not limited to use in gable-style designs. They can also be used on all flat roof designs to provide a leak proof cover that can also be used as a sun deck. Whenever this is used as a sun deck an additional covering, such as tile, is recommended..
