JAVIER ORTIZ is recognized as a leader in operational effectiveness and performance in leading complex business transactions for commercial and government organizations around the world. He has over 18 years experience working in technology, business, and public sector issues.

Today, he consults with global organizations on strategic and competitive issues on how to maximize and magnify the effectiveness of their relationships and advocacy programs to create an advantage in the marketplace.

He is a Principal of Crane & Crane Consulting. He previously served as Vice President of Global Public Sector Strategy and Business Development at Siebel Systems, Inc., managing principal at Networked Results, LLC, and in various global leadership roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. Mr. Ortiz is engaged in business and consulting activities in information technology, alternative fuels, and nation building.

He travels extensively around the world in support of client engagements and business development initiatives. He is a trusted advisor to public and private sector leaders in navigating economic and political issues in Latin America. At PwC Consulting he led the government and executive affairs effort for the Office of the CEO. PwC Consulting was one of the world’s largest consulting organizations of its time, with over $6 billion in global revenue and more than 35,000 consultants in 70 countries serving more than half the Fortune Global 500 largest public companies.

In this role he worked directly and developed personal relationships with many influential figures in politics and business. Senior executives and public sector leaders rely on his help and advice to build effective sales, alliance, and political strategies and tactics.

As a result of his efforts, PwC Consulting’s leadership was sought by many executives and officials in the executive branch and Congress to provide advice and insight on the macro-economic issues of various sectors and industries.

They were also extensively consulted on how to energize the US economic recovery, airlines’ financial endurance, infrastructure & transportation security, and other important public policy issues after September 11, 2001. Mr. Ortiz guided the Firm’s participation in the US-Asia Foundation, which led to major business initiatives and investments in China and other emerging markets in the Far East.

Mr. Ortiz advises elected and appointed political leaders on issues and strategies related to the US Hispanic community and the Latin America region.

Mr. Ortiz also advises current and former elected and appointed officials on global technology, business, and political issues.

Mr. Ortiz serves in the leadership of the Foundation for Inter American Development (FIAD), is a Founding Associate Member of the National Conference of Hispanic Legislators, serves in the Century Campaign Steering Committee of the Red Cross National Capital Region, and is Vice-Chairman of the Hispanic National Bar Foundation’s Fundraising Committee.

He is a past member of the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals.
