Letter From The Editor February 2009It may be that the export market for bay leaves from Grenada to Europe dries up, but probably not from Grenada to St. Thomas. Perhaps the flow of St. Vincent arrowroot to the UK will slow.. but now there is a chance it will find its way to Antigua and Anguilla instead. For so long we have watched all the best of everything flow out from the islands to the big chains in Europe. In Dominica its very hard to find a ripe banana in the land of bananas. Perhaps in a world of protectionism we will turn back to our close neighbours and stop worrying about the ones on the side of the world, and for the small island nations that's not a bad thing. ---> read more.
